Foam, foam EVERYWHERE!

The first Kid's Night of 2006 was a very foamy affair.  The foam machine made enough foam to cover half the gym it seemed like.  The kids all had a blast (and got very clean : ).  Thanks to all the parents who helped out and all who showed up for the meeting.

The weather outside was frightful but inside was so much fun and delightful! Well it rained on us all day but that didn't dampen the Kingdom Kids spirits. We all had fun playing the indoor games. The boys teamed together to amass a staggering 1300 tickets to get the game they wanted. The "older boys" had fun playing the games too! Overall another fun KKids event!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2006

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold!!!!!!!!  This year's Camp Lone Star was a little bit on the chilly side with temps mostly in the 30's and a little wet but we all braved the weather and had a super duper looper great time.  This year the Kingdom Kids were joined by the Faith Followers, the High School gang and more adults than last year so we had quite a large group up at the camp.  The camp counselors were once again great this year and showed us lot's of stuff, we had fun on our own and learned a lot over the weekend.  It was hard to believe how much energy the Kingdom Kids had!!!

Take me out to the Bible Baseball park, take me out to the crowd, let me answer some questions about the bible, I don’t care if I never get back…..    We played Bible Baseball during Sunday School.   The kids knew most all the answers, hit some home runs and grand slams!   The game ended in a tie between the two teams but everyone walked away a winner!

Who has the answers for Bible Baseball?

Carabiner, belay, climb on. dirt me!  We learned a lot of terms at the rock gym and had sooooo much fun climbing!  It's much harder than it looks but the Kingdom Kids quickly got the hang of it and were climbing and bouldering like experts in a sort period of time.  A great time was had by all at the Texas Rock Gym.

Ice
Skating
September
2006

Brrrrr it was a little cold out on that ice.  The Kingdom Kids had a fun filled afternoon of ice skating at Memorial City Mall.  They went round and round, fast and slow, where they stop only they will know.  It was just too much fun and our Kingdom kids (and some of the adults) are pretty talented skaters!

WOW!!! What a turnout!  We had approximately 50 people attend the 2nd. annual Kingdom Kids Family Picnic!  The rain held off and the weather was beautiful!  We had sooo much fun playing The Amazing Race (Kingdom Kids style), 3 legged race, soccer, football, dodgeball, biking and especially fishing.  How many fish did we catch?? : )  Thanks to grillmaster Mr. Howard for those HUGE burgers and to everyone who came and to everyone who helped out!  See ya'll next year for our 3rd. annual picnic!!!

The church had it's annual picnic in November.  There was a great turnout and the Barbeque was Goode!!!  The Kingdom Kids hosted bingo and the room was always full of players who won lots of cool prizes.  The other main attraction was the dunking tank, this was just too much fun.  The pictures are great see below!!!!

The Kingdom Kids decorated and created ornaments at our servant event that will be used for the Jesse Tree at our Christmas Program.  Each ornament has a special meaning or theme and will be explained during our children's program in December.  The trees will be used as decorations during the program and then will be given as a gift to each family of a Sunday School child (one to a family, not per child).  It is the hope of Mrs. Kroeger and Mrs. Dickenson that these Jesse Trees will be an annual tradition in each family for years to come.

Santa's
Wonderland
November
2006

Our second trip to Santa's Wonderland was just as much fun as the first time!  I think we had nearly 40 people at last count.  We enjoyed the cowboy campfire, kettle popcorn, and the kids went crazy each time it snowed!  Everyone was on their feet when Elvis arrived.  He had Cayla "dancin' to the jailhouse rock" ON STAGE!  Elvis also serenaded Heather Nassey-but was too quick for Mr. Gabany to get the picture, although there are others of Elvis and CMLC members.  Elvis even had Cletus groovin' to the beat too!

Santa and Mrs. Claus were in their house and receiving visitors.  Many of our KK had their pictures taken with Santa.  They were also amazed to see how he works his magic with the fireplaces!  Jacob asked if he was the real Santa and Santa had him pull his beard and then even took off his cap and showed Jacob his long hair.  Santa was absolutely worth the drive to College Station.  Glad we caught him before he had to head back to the North Pole to get ready for Christmas.

Something new to Santa's Town was the mechanical bull.  The Kiowski kids rode the bull and so did our very own Victoria.  A little bragging if you please...Although Victoria can ride a horse quite well, she has never ridden anything like the mechanical bull.  She did very well and told the lady to make it go faster!

The hay ride and lights were once again incredible!  We learned to be humble if we were Aggie fans and respectful if we were Longhorn fans.  My favorite part was near the end.  The owners remember the real reason for the season as they tell the story of Jesus' birth, death and resurrection.

Christmas
Party
December
2006

Party, party, party.  The Kingdom Kids enjoyed their 2006 Christmas party!!!!!!!!!  They had pizza, a huge cookie and drinks then decorated their Santa hats before hitting the ice.  Then round and round they went skating the afternoon away.  Seems like we have some pretty good skaters among the Kingdom Kids.  We have had a blast this year at all the events and are looking forward to a super-duper 2007!  Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!!!!
